JAM (Jesus And Me) Children's Ministry desires to lead children into a growing relationship with Jesus by exposing them to God's love, His Word, and His power. We offer programming for children ages birth through fifth grade at all campuses.

At The Vineyard, we recognize that every life stage of a child matters. Each of our locations provides programming specific to the present life stage of the children we serve.

  • Little JAM {newborn — preschool} – kids connect through creative play, energetic worship, and Bible-based activities.
  • Big JAM {kindergarten — 5th grade} – exists to provoke the discovery of God’s Kingdom and the love of Jesus in kids by providing vibrant worship, interactive teaching, and a community experience through small groups.
  • At our Jackson Road location, we break down the Big JAM further by providing a more discussion-based classroom specifically for 4th and 5th grade students, called Club 54.

When you arrive on campus for your first visit, please stop by the Welcome Center in the Atrium. There you will be greeted by a cheerful volunteer who can direct you and your family to the children’s ministry area as well as offer any information you may need.

Upon arriving at the JAM Welcome Center, we’ll have you fill out a little paperwork and then receive a nametag for your child and a corresponding parent tag with a matching code. Your child will not be released from his or her classroom until a volunteer verifies that the code on their name tag and your parent tag match.

During check-in, each parent will receive a parent tag with a code that matches the code on the child’s nametag. If any issues arise and a parent needs to be contacted, the code will show up on the Auditorium screen.

Each of our volunteers must complete a volunteer application and pass a background check. For your child's safety, our volunteers never serve alone. Our rooms have open layouts so children are always in view, no matter where they are.

Yes. We hope to provide a creative, safe, and engaging experience for all children. Consistent programming at each service and campus helps us reach that goal and gives our team members a common focus, vision and passion.

Due to its size, our Sturgis Venue offers a similar but not identical children’s ministry experience. When you arrive, you will be greeted at the doors and directed toward the auditorium where your children will stay with you through worship. Following worship, the children will be dismissed to the JAM classroom in the nursery. If a parent needs to be contacted for any reason, a JAM volunteer will come find the parent in the auditorium.

Every child matters, and since not all children are able to learn in a traditional setting, we seek to provide options for children with special needs — including one-on-one’s within the classroom environment — that allow them to connect to God’s word on their level.

We believe that each child learns in different ways, so to help your children encounter God in exciting and practical ways, we offer opportunities outside of our weekend celebration; look below for upcoming opportunities.
