Spread the Word

We all know the ripple effect and how our actions and behaviors affect the people in our lives. I was brought up in a Christian household my whole life thanks to my mother. My father was religious too, but my mother was more active with it. She was religious because her parents raised her to be, and the same goes for her parents, and their parents before them. I am so glad that someone many years ago in my family line decided to follow Jesus. Not only that, but that they were willing to spread that news to their kids so that their grand kids and great grandkids would know Jesus also. I don’t have any kids of my own yet, but I was thinking about if I have passed the news of Jesus on like my parents and grandparents did with people in their lives. I know I have been able to help my husband come to know Jesus, which lead to him and I helping his little sister and answering her questions on religion. She has since gotten baptized and accepted Christ as her Savior. That then lead to her encouraging her boyfriend to go to church and read his bible more. She now makes TikToks talking about the Bible and sharing the good that God is doing in her life with her followers. “Go into the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved” Mark 16: 15-16 The same thing happened with my sister and her husband. He grew up Catholic but didn’t have relationship with God until my sister came into his life. He has since been baptized and now teaching his children about Jesus. I love how we get to continue to share Jesus’ story with people in our lives and make them into disciples. “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you”. Matthew 28: 19-20 Jesus’ story is so much more than a story though, its eternal life for the ones we love, and it all started because people keep passing along the news and emphasizing the importance of knowing Jesus and His work. I hope I can keep making a difference in the lives of those around me and keep bringing more people to know Jesus. I want my great great grandkids to look back and know their faith is strong because of me, and the ones that came before me. Most importantly, I can’t wait to see how crowded Heaven is because of all the people that have been saved because someone taught them about Jesus.
